At the 2016 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), PEUGEOT Philippines showcased its rich motorsports heritage as well as its full vehicle line-up available for test drive.
On display are two custom-built PEUGEOT 208 GTi’s. One is the 208 T16 Pikes Peak that made its victorious debut at the 2013 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This has a light body weight and a twin-turbo V6 engine that gives a total power output of 887hp. The second one is 208 GTi which will participate at 2016 Targa Manila.
Developed by Tuason Racing, Targa Manila will be the first premium car rally powered by PEUGEOT Philippines. Following the Time-Speed-Distance format, 24 teams will have to compete with each other in a battle of wits, strategy, and performance. The teams are composed of various celebrities, car enthusiasts, influencers, and members of the automotive media. A total of eight (8) PEUGEOT 208 GTi’s will be joining the line-up of participating vehicles.
